The Achensee holiday region is an idyllic spot located between high mountains and Tirol´s largest lake. It is one of the most beautiful holiday regions of the Alps. The region´s heart is the Achensee lake, on the shores of which are the three beautiful villages of Achenkirch, Maurach and Pertisau; the small village of Steinberg is hidden in the Rofan mountain range.The village of Wiesing is now also part of this holiday region; it is located at the region´s southern entrance.
