Guaranteed snow
Thanks to its unique geographical position, Tauplitz is one of the most "snow-sure" skiing areas in Austria. Records show up to 5 metres of snow! In March we usually have anything up to 3 metres of snow still lying on the slopes (ideal for "sun-skiing").We also use snow-cannons all the way from the peaks down to the valley to guarantee skiing from December to April.

Idyllic alpine village
The "Tauplitzalm" village is unique in Austria. It's a skiing village situated at an altitude of 1,650 metres with around 1,000 beds, traditional mountain huts and friendly restaurants.The "Alm" is traffic-free in the winter. Snowcats and skidoos are the only means of transport, making this area quite unique |

We have several ski schools in both Tauplitz and Bad Mitterndorf that offer a wide range of courses from beginner to advanced level - for adults and children, skiers and snowboarders, also for cross-country skiing, telemarking and more...
Even the most advanced skiers will find tuition to suit them! Our experienced English-speaking skiing-instructors, skiing and mountain guides know the ins and outs of the area and can keep you on the right track, whether in powder snow, on moguls, or on ski tours, etc... |
